Eric Garnier-Audebourg exhibition august 4th to september 10th 2005

He paints by means of windscreen wipers, of rubber joints of cars, sponges or of pieces of mattress foams. Why? He doesn't know. It came just like that, he wished a tool between the knife and the brush. The result? Abstractions of shades and transparencies giving birth and letting run free his emotions.

He prepares his supports starting from materials of recovery, at the same time by taste and principle, but above all because recovery offers a space of freedom and the unforeseen. Space in which the conscious, the unconscious, the practical sense, the imaginary, the free will, the instinct... i.e. the entire body and spirit can be in concert, in action for his painting.

Eric Garnier-Audebourg lives and works in Toulouse. He attends to workshops of Mrs. Sylvie Salavera, graduate painter of the Art Schools and of Mrs. Martine Coste, graduate painter of the Art Schools.
